The state registration of republican and regional public associations, structural subdivisions (branches and representative offices) of foreign and international non-profit non-governmental associations is carried out by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The state registration of local public associations, branches and representative offices is carried out by the territorial judicial authorities.

State registration and re-registration of public associations is carried out in accordance with the procedure and terms stipulated by the legislation on state registration of legal entities.

To register a public association, an application is submitted to the registration authority within two months from the date of its formation. The application must be accompanied by the charter, the minutes of the constituent congress (conference, meeting) that adopted the charter, information about the initiators of the formation of the association and documents confirming the location of the public association, as well as payment of the fee for state registration of legal entities.

The deadline set for submitting an application for registration of a public association that has been missed for valid reasons is restored by the registration authority.

In cases stipulated by the legislation, a public association is subject to re-registration.

For registration and re-registration of public associations, a fee is charged for the state registration of legal entities in accordance with the procedure established by the Tax Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The right to freedom of association is one of the most important and constitutional human and civil rights, the realization of which meets the interests of society and is protected by the State.
