Article 110. The torture The Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. Infliction of physical or mental suffering through violent acts committed with extreme cruelty, bullying, in order to inflict torment on the victim, if this act did not entail causing serious or moderate harm to health., –
is punishable by correctional labor in the amount of up to one thousand monthly calculation indices or community service for up to six hundred hours, or imprisonment for up to three years.
2 The same act committed by:
1) in relation to a known minor or a person known to be in a helpless state or in material or other dependence on the perpetrator, as well as a person abducted or taken hostage;
2) in relation to two or more persons;
3) in relation to a woman who is obviously pregnant for the perpetrator.;
4) excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 03/17/2023 No. 212-VII (effective sixty calendar days after the date of its first official publication).
5) for hire;
6) motivated by social, national, racial, religious hatred or enmity, –
is punishable by imprisonment for a term of four to seven years.
