1. The reserve of archaeological monuments of the city of Turkestan recognizes the territory of archaeological monuments, determined to ensure their preservation, integrity, authenticity as the most vulnerable part of the historical and cultural heritage of the city of Turkestan.

2. The reserve of archaeological monuments of the city of Turkestan is created in accordance with the rules for the creation of a reserve of archaeological monuments of the city of Turkestan and the conditions of their maintenance.

3. Individual archaeological sites may also be included in the reserve of archaeological monuments of the city of Turkestan. The criteria for selecting archaeological monuments and objects of archeology, as well as the procedure for including and excluding them from the reserve of archaeological monuments of the city of Turkestan are determined by the rules for creating a reserve of archaeological monuments of the city of Turkestan and the conditions of their maintenance.

4. Monuments of archeology and objects of archeology included in the reserve of monuments of archeology of the city of Turkestan are provided with preservation of appearance by monitoring on an ongoing basis and preventive maintenance.

5. Other activities within the framework of archaeological work on archaeological sites and archaeological sites included in the reserve of archaeological sites of the city of Turkestan are carried out in coordination with the authorized body for the protection and use of historical and cultural heritage sites.

6. It is prohibited to use methods of work that negatively affect the integrity of the archaeological monument and the archaeological site, the authenticity of their design, material, execution and the surrounding landscape.

This Law regulates the legal basis of the special status of the city of Turkestan and is aimed at its preservation, study and promotion as a unique heritage.
