Article 10. The prosecutor's office is obliged, at the request of repressed citizens or other persons or interested public associations, to check all cases with court decisions that were not canceled before the enactment of this Law on persons subject to rehabilitation. To verify such cases, the prosecutor's office involves the internal affairs, national security and health authorities, demanding from them the necessary documents, materials and other information.
Based on the inspection materials, the prosecutor's office draws up a conclusion, on the basis of which they issue the applicant a certificate of rehabilitation.
In the absence of grounds for rehabilitation, the prosecutor's office is obliged to inform the applicant within the prescribed period of the refusal to issue a certificate of rehabilitation and send the case with a conclusion to the court in accordance with Article 13 of this Law.
The Prosecutor's Office is constantly working to rehabilitate victims of political repression, regardless of the statements received in this regard.
Information about fully rehabilitated citizens is transmitted by the Prosecutor's office to the press for publication at the request of the applicants.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 14, 1993.
The Supreme Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan is adopting this Law, determined to restore justice to people who have been subjected to mass political repression, with the aim of rehabilitating all victims of these repressions, and ensuring the maximum possible compensation for the moral and material damage they have suffered.
