1. The general requirements for animal husbandry include:

1) the conditions of animal husbandry, which must correspond to their biological, species and individual characteristics, meet their natural needs;

2) ensuring the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and elimination of animal diseases in accordance with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of veterinary medicine.

2. The maintenance of certain categories of animals is regulated by this Law and other legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

3. Animals included in the list of animals prohibited from housing are not allowed to be kept or bred in dwellings.

4. Trapping services, animal shelters, temporary animal detention facilities carry out vaccination of stray animals at the expense of budgetary funds in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as other sources not prohibited by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This Law regulates public relations in the field of responsible treatment of animals in order to protect them, ensure safety, strengthen morality and respect the principles of humanity of society in the treatment of animals, as well as protect the rights and legitimate interests of individuals and legal entities in the treatment of animals.
