Article 1-2. Protected persons of the Law on the State Security Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. Protected persons - persons subject to protection by the State Security Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the constitutional laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan and this Law.
2. Protected persons are:
1) The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
2) Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
3) Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
4) Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
5) the spouse of the President of the Republic and other family members living together with the President;
6) Excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 23, 2023 No. 51-VIII (effective ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication). 7) Excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 23, 2023 No. 51-VIII (effective ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication).
8) ex-President of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
9) officials of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the list of which is approved by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
10) heads of foreign states, parliaments and governments during their stay in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
11) heads of international organizations and other persons of foreign states during their stay in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, whose security is ensured on the basis of orders of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan or on his instructions - the Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
3. The officials specified in subitems 2), 3), 4) of paragraph 2 of this Article are protected on equal terms.
4. The persons specified in subitems 1)-9) of paragraph 2 of this Article have the right to recommend to the head of the State Security Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan to replace the persons protecting them in case of improper performance of their official duties.
