Article 1-2. Ensuring State protection of Persons Participating in criminal proceedings Law on State Protection of Persons Participating in Criminal Proceedings
Ensuring State protection of persons participating in criminal proceedings, their family members and close relatives consists in the implementation by authorized state bodies of security, legal and social protection measures provided for by this Law (hereinafter referred to as State protection measures) applied in the event of a threat of violence against them or other acts prohibited by criminal law.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 5, 2000 No. 72.
This Law establishes a system of State measures to protect the life, health, property, legitimate rights, and interests of persons participating in criminal proceedings, their family members, and close relatives, and to ensure their safety in order to prevent unlawful interference in criminal proceedings.
