About the jubilee medal in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the authorized body in the field of foreign intelligence of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated November 6, 2017 No. 577.
In commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the authorized body in the field of foreign intelligence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, I HEREBY DECREE:
1. To establish the jubilee medal "Kazakhstan Republikasyn Syrtky barlau kyzmetine 20 zhyl".
2. Approve the attached documents:
1) Rules for awarding the jubilee medal "Kazakhstan Republikasyn Syrtky barlau kyzmetine 20 zhyl";
2) description and sample of the jubilee medal "Kazakhstan Republikasyn Syrtky barlau kyzmetine 20 zhyl".
3. This Decree shall enter into force from the date of signing.

Rules for awarding the jubilee medal "Kazakhstan Republikasyn Syrtky barlau kyzmetine 20 zhyl"
1. These Rules define the procedure for awarding the jubilee medal "Kazakhstan Republikasyn Syrtky barlau kyzmetine 20 zhyl" (hereinafter referred to as the jubilee medal).
2. The Jubilee Medal is awarded to employees of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Syrbar" (hereinafter referred to as the "Syrbar" Service) who are positively characterized in their service and perform their official duties in an exemplary manner, have at least 20 years of service experience, retired foreign intelligence officers and other persons who have made a significant contribution to activities in the field of foreign intelligence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
3. The procedure for the submission and consideration of applications for the award of the jubilee medal is determined by the Director of the Service "Syrbar".
4. The jubilee medal is presented on behalf of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.:
1) Director of the Syrbar Service;
2) Deputy Directors of the Syrbar Service;
3) heads of structural divisions of the Syrbar Service.
5. The jubilee medal is presented in a solemn ceremony and is presented to the recipient personally. Before the presentation, the order of the Director of the Syrbar Service on awarding is announced.
6. Together with the jubilee medal, the awardee is presented with a certificate of the established pattern.
7. The jubilee medal is worn on the left side of the chest. If there are state awards of the Republic of Kazakhstan, it is placed after them.
8. Non-returned commemorative medals and certificates to them are returned to the personnel department of the Syrbar Service with an indication of the reasons for the return, which is marked accordingly in the lists.
Accounting of awards made, as well as reporting on the presentation of jubilee medals, are conducted by the personnel department of the Syrbar Service.

DESCRIPTION AND SAMPLE of the Jubilee medal "Kazakhstan Republikasyn Syrtky barlau kyzmetine 20 zhyl"
The jubilee medal "Kazakhstan Republikasyn Syrtky barlau kyzmetine 20 zhyl" is a disc with a diameter of 37 mm, made of gold–colored metal - brass.
On the obverse of the medal (obverse) in the center there is a stylized relief image of the globe with a three-dimensional image of a golden eagle with outstretched wings. The relief of the golden eagle image is brilliant. The golden eagle's head is turned to the heraldic right side. In the right paw of the golden eagle is a spear with a yellow horsehair tumar, in the left is a round stylized national blue shield, the central part of which is dissected by two baldrics made with elements of the national ornament. A yellow horsehair tumar is attached to the center of the shield.
Along the contour of the image of the globe on a blue background, there is a golden inscription in the official language, in the upper part – "KAZAKHSTAN REPUBLICS", in the lower part – "SYRTKY BARLAU KYZMETI". The inscriptions are separated by golden-colored rivets. In the center at the bottom of the image of the globe, the number "20" is printed on a burgundy ribbon in a circle.
On the reverse side of the medal (reverse), the numbers "1997-2017" are marked in the center. The surface is frosted under the numbers. The numbers are shiny and prominent.
The medal is connected to a hexagonal block with a width of 32 mm and a height of 50 mm using an eyelet and a ring. The shoe is covered with a silk moire ribbon of cornflower blue with two stripes of golden yellow. The width of the strips is 2.5 mm. The distance between the strips is 14 mm. Stripes of turquoise (blue) color 6.5 mm wide are located along the edges of the ribbon. Two diverging laurel branches made of gold–colored metal, brass, are attached at the bottom of the shoe.
The jubilee medal is attached to the clothes with a pin with a visor lock.
