About the immigration quota for 2000
Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 17, 2000 No. 406
In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan Z970204_ "On Population Migration" and in order to organize the resettlement and settlement of families of repatriates (oralmans) who have expressed a desire to return to their historical homeland,
I decree:
1. To establish the Immigration Quota submitted by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the year 2000 in the number of 500 families according to the appendix.
2. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan: jointly with the akims of the regions, Astana and Almaty cities, to carry out the organized repatriation of persons of Kazakh nationality who cannot return to their historical homeland without financial support from the state, as well as their reception and settlement in places of resettlement; to take other measures to implement this Decree.
3. This Decree comes into force from the date of signing.
