Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 2, 1997 No. 3482.

In accordance with article 9 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan

"On the administrative-territorial structure of the Republic

Kazakhstan" I decree:

1. Abolish Arykbalyk, Valikhan, Keller,

Kokshetau, Leningradsky, Ruzaevsky, Chistopolsky, Chkalovsky

districts of the Kokshetau region.

2. Assign the city of Shchuchinsk to the category of cities of regional significance.

3. Rename:

1) Kzyltu district to Ualikhanov district;

2) Krasnoarmeysky district in Tayynshinsky district;

3) the city of Krasnoarmeysk to the city of Tayynsha;

4) Kuibyshev district to Tselinny district;

5) Leninsky district to Akzharsky district.

4. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan should take the necessary measures

on the implementation of this Decree.

5. This Decree comes into force from the date of signing.
