Article 5. Competence of state bodies Law On Prevention of Infractions
1. State bodies specified in this Law, within the limits of their competence shall:
1) participate in the development and ensure the implementation of state policy on prevention of infractions;
2) analyze, identify the causes and conditions contributing to the commission of infractions, and take measures to eliminate them;
3) apply measures for prevention of infractions;
4) submit proposals for improving the system for prevention of infractions to authorized state bodies;
5) take measures for social adaptation and social rehabilitation;
6) apply measures for victimological prevention of infractions;
7) participate in the formation of a healthy lifestyle;
8) interact with public associations on prevention of infractions;
9) conduct informational work in the mass media on the measures being taken to prevent infractions;
10) perform other functions provided for by this Law, laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, acts of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2. Heads of state bodies specified in this Law shall be liable for failure to take measures to prevent infractions.

This Law determines legal, economic, social, and organizational bases for the activities of state bodies, the bodies of local self-government, organizations, and citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Prevention of infractions.

Article 5. Competence of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of crime prevention Chapter 2. Subjects of crime prevention The Law on the Prevention of Offenses
Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
1) develops the main directions of the state policy in the field of crime prevention;
2) excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 07/03/2013 No. 124-V (effective after ten calendar days after its first official publication);
3) form and abolish the republican interdepartmental commission for the prevention of offenses;
4) ensures the interaction of subjects of crime prevention and coordination of their activities;
5) ensures that timely measures are taken to prevent demographic crisis processes, curb a sharp increase in unemployment and a drop in the standard of living of the population, leading to an increase in the number of offenses;
6) performs other functions assigned to him by the Constitution, laws and acts of the President.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 29, 2010 No. 271-IV.
This Law defines the legal, economic, social and organizational bases of the activities of state bodies, local governments, organizations and citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the prevention of offenses.
