1.the main purpose of this law is to establish the legal basis and general conditions for the functioning of road traffic and ensuring its safety in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2. the main objectives of this law are:

1) public administration in the field of road traffic;

2) determination of the competence of state bodies engaged in activities in the field of road traffic;

3) state control in the field of road traffic;

4) management of activities aimed at ensuring road safety and eliminating the consequences of road accidents;

5) management of activities aimed at ensuring the safety and throughput of roads;

6) management of activities aimed at ensuring the safety of vehicles;

7) issuance of permits for the participation of vehicles in road traffic and the driving of vehicles by persons.

3. the basic principles of this law are:

1) priority of life and health of road users over the economic results of economic activity;

2) priority of the state's responsibility for ensuring road safety over the responsibility of road users;

3) compliance with the legitimate interests of road users, society and the state in ensuring road safety;

4) systematic approach to ensuring road safety

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 17, 2014 No. 194-V SAM.

This Law establishes the legal basis and general conditions for the functioning of road traffic and ensuring its safety in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
