On renaming and changing the transcriptions of the names of individual administrative-territorial units of Aktobe, Almaty and West Kazakhstan regions

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 10, 2000 No. 356

In accordance with Article 9 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 8, 1993 Z934200_

"On the administrative-territorial structure of the Republic of Kazakhstan" I decree:

   1. Rename it:

   1) Taldykorgan district of Almaty region to Eskeldinsky district;

   2) Urdinsky district of West Kazakhstan region in Bokeyordinsky

district.  

   2. Change the transcription of names in Russian:

   1) Chelkarsky district of Aktobe region to Shalkarsky district;

   2) Chelkar city of Aktobe region to the city of Shalkar;

   3) Janybek district of West Kazakhstan region to Zhanibek district.

   3. This Decree comes into force from the date of signing.
