On renaming the city of Astana– the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan, to the city of Nur-Sultan, the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 23, 2019 No. 6.

 In accordance with Article 9 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 8, 1993 "On the Administrative-territorial structure of the Republic of Kazakhstan", I DECREE:

     1. Rename the city of Astana– the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan, to the city of Nur-Sultan, the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

     2. This Decree shall enter into force from the date of its first official publication.
