Some issues of special economic zones in the Republic of Kazakhstan

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 31, 1999 N 104

In order to protect domestic producers, limit unfair competition and in accordance with Article 16 of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which has the force of law, dated January 26, 1996 No. 2823 "On special economic zones in the Republic of Kazakhstan"

I decree:      

1. To abolish in accordance with the procedure established by law:      

Lisakovskaya Special Economic Zone;      

Kyzylorda Special Economic Zone;      

Zhairem-Atasui Special Economic Zone.      

2. Invalidate:      

1) Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated August 23, 1996 No. 3094 "On the Lisak Special Economic Zone" (SAPP of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 1996, No. 34, Article 316, No. 6, Article 40, 1998, No. 20, Article 175);    

2) Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 8, 1996 No. 3123 "On the establishment of the Kyzylorda special Economic zone" (SAPP of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 1996, No. 40, art. 375, 1997, No. 41, art. 382);      

3) Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated November 14, 1996 No. 3219 "On the Zhairem-Atasui Special Economic Zone" (SAPP of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 1996, No. 45, Article 429).      

3. The Chairmen of the Administrative Councils of the abolished special economic zones:      

1) submit a report on its activities to the President and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan;      

2) notify the judicial authorities in writing about the abolition of the special economic zone in order to enter information in the state register of legal entities that the special economic zone is in the process of liquidation.;      

3) to publish in the central and local official publications a publication on the abolition of the special economic zone, on the procedure and deadline for applications and claims by its creditors.    

4. (Paragraphs 4 and 5 became invalid by Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 28, 2000 No. 421 (effective January 1, 2001)    

6. This Decree comes into force from the date of publication.
