 1. The main body of currency regulation in the Republic of Kazakhstan is the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and state bodies carry out currency regulation within their competence.

3. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in accordance with this Law and the acts of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, shall, within their competence, issue regulatory legal acts binding on residents and non-residents.

Draft subordinate regulatory legal acts on currency regulation issues developed by government agencies are subject to coordination with the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

4. The National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan approves regulatory legal acts in the field of currency regulation and currency control, including the forms of accounting and reporting on currency transactions, as well as the procedure and deadlines for their submission by agreement or jointly with authorized state bodies in accordance with their competence.

The list of subordinate regulatory legal acts adopted by the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan on issues within its competence is defined in the regulations on the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

5. The National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan carry out all types of currency transactions with residents and non-residents without restrictions.

6. The forms of accounting and reporting on foreign exchange transactions, as well as the procedure and deadlines for their submission, are determined by the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan in coordination with authorized state bodies in accordance with their competence. 7. The National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the authorized body responsible for ensuring tax revenues and other mandatory payments to the budget, approves the rules for the implementation of export-import currency control in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This Law regulates public relations related to the implementation of currency transactions, defines the goals and objectives of currency regulation and currency control.
